Charles M. Ivey III
Partner

Charles M. Ivey, III is a partner with Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP. With the exception of two short stays during his undergrad and law school attendance, Charles has lived in Greensboro his entire life. Charles has been a Chapter 7 Trustee in Greensboro since 1982, which covers a large percentage of Charles’ practice time. In addition to trustee work, Charles spends significant time working on Chapter 11 reorganizations and out of court restructurings of businesses and individuals. Some of these reorganizations results from, or leads toward, complex litigation throughout the state and federal courts of North Carolina.

Robert McClellan
Partner

Robert L. McClellan is a partner of Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP and has practiced law in Greensboro for over 35 years. Mr. McClellan handles all types of criminal matters, ranging from traffic citations to District Court cases, and all the way up to death penalty cases and drug trials in State and Federal Court. Mr. McClellan has been involved in hundreds of trials at the District and Superior court levels in State Court, and has received favorable outcomes before the North Carolina Supreme Court, the North Carolina Court of Appeals, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit.

Dirk W. Siegmund
Partner

Dirk W. Siegmund is a partner with Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP. Dirk focuses his practice on consumer and business bankruptcy cases within the Middle District of North Carolina, assisting individuals and companies when faced with taxation problems, foreclosure issues, judgments and general financial issues. Dirk also spends some of his practice time representing individuals and companies in litigation within the state and federal courts of North Carolina, and representing individuals and companies before the Internal Revenue Service and the North Carolina Department of Revenue.

Samantha K. Brumbaugh
Partner

Samantha (Sam) K. Brumbaugh joined the firm of Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP in April of 2012 as a partner. Sam spends 50% of her time practicing out of Ivey McClellan’s Greensboro office, and the other 50% of her time practicing out of Ivey McClellan’s Eden office. Sam practices in the areas of Domestic Law, Litigation, and Bankruptcy/Restructuring. Sam is a highly motivated individual who instills her drive toward perfection for every client with whom she meets.

John Blust
Associate

John Blust is an associate with Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP. John served in the United States Army for a total of five years, obtaining the rank of Captain. John served as an elected Representative of the State of North Carolina, and a former North Carolina Senator. John has passed the CPA Examination and represents individuals and businesses in federal and state courts throughout the state. John also does considerable work representing Chapter 7 Trustees in Bankruptcy litigation.

Darren McDonough

Darren A. McDonough is a partner with Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP. Darren represents clients in both state and federal court and has litigated cases at all trial levels and in the appellate courts of North Carolina. Darren has handled complex matters for companies and individuals involving contract claims, restrictive covenants, zoning and boundary disputes, negligence, fraud, unfair and deceptive trade practices, incompetency and guardianships.

Aaron B. Wellman
Associate

Aaron B. Wellman is an associate attorney at Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP who practices criminal defense.  Since beginning with the Guilford County Public Defender’s office in 2007, Aaron has represented hundreds of clients facing criminal charges in the Triad.  Aaron is a fixture in courthouses in Greensboro, High Point, and surrounding counties, tirelessly advocating for Defendants charged with anything from traffic offenses and DWIs to felonies such as violent assaults, robberies, and drug trafficking.  Aaron has litigated cases in North Carolina District and Superior Courts, as well as the U.S. Middle District of North Carolina and the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. Aaron is an active member and former president of the Greensboro Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.  Aaron stands ready to lend his skills in the courtroom to ensure that his clients receive quality representation no matter the charge.

Charles M. (Chuck) Ivey, IV is an associate with Ivey, McClellan, Siegmund, Brumbaugh & McDonough, LLP. With the exception of two short stays in Lynchburg, Virginia and Central, South Carolina, Chuck is a lifelong resident of Greensboro. Chuck focuses primarily in wills and estate planning, but also practices in consumer bankruptcy and insolvency, landlord-tenant disputes and Child Support cases in Guilford County.
